Easily Create New Native Video Experiences

Cedato’s Open Video API is an easy programming interface for the Cedato smart video player. The API offers a framework for rapidly developing native video advertising experiences and innovative ways to engage with viewers, maximizing inventory supply, engagement and results.
The following portfolio of sample ad formats was designed to expedite deployment, demonstrating how easy it is to create and implement new native video ad units placed within existing non-video content and feeds.

In Content

In-Content video ads are placed within standard web page content and articles or within a list of content items (“In Feed”). An auto-play video ad is smoothly displayed as the user scrolls through the page on desktop or mobile, responsively adapting its size to the actual viewing screen and proportions. Engagement can be further enhanced by initiating sound or additional actions upon mouse-hover.
In-content ads (also referred as “In-Text”, “In-Read”, “In-Feed”, etc) are highly effective for increasing inventory by dynamically creating video ad placements over existing non-video content, yielding highly viewable and valuable video supply.

Masthead

Masthead video ads are placed on top or at the beginning of page content. An auto-play video ad is displayed immediately after a page loads on desktop or mobile, responsively adapting its size to the actual viewing screen and proportions. Page content is lowered to accommodate the ad, and resumes to its original position upon ad close.
Masthead ads are designed as premium placements, delivering maximum viewability and impact.

Sidebar

Sidebar video ads are placed at the top or within a list of side-rail content items. An auto-play video ad is displayed immediately after a page loads on desktop or mobile, responsively adapting its size to the width of the side-rail item as it appears on the actual viewing screen and proportions. The remainder of side-rail items is lowered to accommodate the ad, and resumes to its original position upon ad close. Engagement can be further enhanced by initiating the ad upon mouse-hover.
Sidebar ads are highly effective for increasing inventory by dynamically creating video ad placements over existing non-video content, as well as for natively placing sponsored content within side-bar content items.

Corner

Corner video ads are placed on one of corners of the screen (by default – on the bottom right corner). An auto-play video ad is slides-in immediately after a page loads on desktop or mobile, on top of any other page content.
Corner ads enable to easily add video ads to any site and content.

Interstitial

Interstitial video ads take over the screen. An auto-play video ad is displayed immediately after a page loads on desktop or mobile, on top of any other page content, remaining in focus until the ad is closed.
Interstitial ads grab focus and complete awareness, generating highly viewable and valuable video inventory.

Persistent

Similar to Masthead ads, Persistent video ads are placed on top or at the beginning of page content. An auto-play video ad is displayed immediately after a page loads on desktop or mobile, lowering page content to accommodate the ad. Unlike Masthead, when the user scrolls down, Persistent ads reappear on the bottom left corner (on top of any other content) and remain in view until the ad is closed.
Persistent ads are designed as premium placements, delivering maximum viewability and impact.

Parallax

Parallax video ads are placed within standard web page content and articles. As the user scrolls through the page on desktop or mobile, a new blank section is dynamically created, revealing an auto-play video ad that responsively adapts its size to the actual viewing screen and proportions. The ad remains fixed as the user continues to scroll, in a parallax effect, until the ad gets out of view and the site resumes to the original content.
Parallax ads are highly effective for increasing inventory by dynamically creating video ad placements over existing non-video content, yielding highly viewable and valuable video supply.

Expandable

Expandable video ads enable smaller video ad units to enlarge the viewable video size in response to user engagement. For example, a Sidebar video ad initiates an auto-play video ad at the width of the side-rail item as it appears on the actual viewing screen and proportions. Upon mouse-hover the ad expands to a large-player size (on top of any other content).
Expandable video ads enhance viewability, impact and engagement.
